From the Owner, Scott Twiford

STM Diecast is a family‑owned, second‑generation retail business built on passion, nostalgia, and a lifelong love of collecting. My journey started in my dad’s train, toy, and hobby shop—well known in our town and beloved by generations of customers. While trains were his specialty, he kept a small section of 1:18 and 1:43 diecast cars. That little corner changed everything for me.

As a kid, I spent countless hours mesmerized by those models. Before I was even ten, I was helping run the candy shop my dad added on—living every child’s dream with unlimited candy, popcorn, glass‑bottle Coke, and diecast cars. My very first model was a yellow Bburago 1:18 Porsche 911 993, and more than 30 years later, I still have it.

That early excitement, the thrill of collecting, and the memories of my childhood are what inspired me to launch STM Diecast.
