Porsche unveiled the 993-generation 911 Turbo at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1995. It combined standard all-wheel drive with a 3.6-litre air-cooled flat-six and two smaller turbochargers, a change intended to improve throttle response over the previous single-turbo layout. Porsche rated the engine at 300 kW (408 PS) and 540 Nm. The company quoted 4.5 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h and a top speed of 290 km/h. Hollow-spoke alloy wheels and a redesigned rear wing distinguished the Turbo. The 993 was the final air-cooled generation of the 911.
