• Race Start: Had a strong start, climbing to P15 by the end of the first lap. He even gained another position on the second lap, taking P14 from Daniel Ricciardo.
• Race Incident: On lap 10, a steering wheel issue caused him to go deep at Turn 4. Williams team principal James Vowles stated this was due to a brake bias glitchcaused by the steering wheel.
